The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans

The wonderful doctrine of Christ is laid out for believers to cling to.   It also helps us with bridging the gap for those whom don't believe and the why.   Paul adresses many concerns in Romans about sin, Spirit, freedom, salvation, and God's love for all people.   If you believe in Jesus and in your heart believe he was raised to life after his crucifiction you will be saved.

Chapter 5 and 6 nails the ideas down to the drawing board of all lives who are either living under the horrible power of sin or living by the Spirit.   I choose to direct my studies throughout Romans at the word and commentary.  The main theme that sticks out to me is the power of sin, freedom through faith in Christ, and living the gospel out in practical and spiritual ways.  St. Paul sings a stinging message of faith vs laws for salvation.  Paul is giving us the ingredients of salvation through faith and trust in God verses keeping rules and laws.  Laws that the Jews held to, obeyed, and added to did not bring success.    The faith is what Christian living is seriously about in and out our daily lives and is the supreme place to stay in if you want to succeed in life and in a relationship with God.
